How we work
we start with a conversation
We don’t begin by asking what your budget is or talking logistics.
We want to know your story.
We want to know how you met, your shared interests, favorite places, what inspires you, and where/when you feel happiest and most at home. We’ll talk about how you want your wedding day to feel and what kind of experience you want to create for your guests.
Because we know that those details are the seed of how to create an unforgettable wedding for both you and your guests.
AND THEY SHOULD INFORM EVERYTHING FROM YOUR CHOICE OF VENUE TO YOUR FIRST DANCE.
We take it personally.
Your wedding planner should be professional, organised, detail- oriented, meticulous, knowledgeable, resourceful, creative, and a great communicator
– those are all just a given.
But beyond all of the above, you simply must work with a planner you feel compatible with. You’re going to spend a lot of time interacting with this person. There will be countless e-mails, calls, and FaceTime/Skype chats; lots of laughter, occasional squeals of delight, moments when you need someone to vent to, or maybe a shoulder to cry on. And she/he *may* even have to kindly and gently talk you down from Bridezilla (or Groomzilla!) Mountain at some point.

So when choosing a planner, make sure your philosophies line up, make sure you genuinely like this person and that you feel they really get you and get what you want.
We feel so strongly about this that if we truly feel you’d be a better fit for any other local planner, we’ll happily connect you with them. Because we genuinely want you to be where you feel most comfortable, we maintain fantastic relationships with other hard-working, high quality local planners for just this reason.*
(*and because collaboration over competition is a total no-brainer!)

HOW WE PRICE
Our couples don’t want one-size-fits-all weddings, so we don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach.

Our clients are all unique and each couple comes to us with a different set of wishes and requirements. You may be starting from zero, or you may have already found your venue and most of your suppliers. Perhaps you need help with the wedding day only, for 20 guests,
or 18 months of planning for an entire week’s worth of events for 150…

Can you imagine one price that would fit all of those scenarios?
Neither can we.
So we don’t do “package pricing,” but we also don’t do hidden fees, commissions or complicated price structures.
We’d just like to chat a bit about what you’ve envisioned for your day and what you’ll need help with,
and then we’ll quote you a flat-fee from there.

Living in Australia added a layer of complexity to our wedding planning as we didn’t have the chance to visit venues or meet suppliers in person. So we had to trust our planner implicitly to make decisions on our behalf. She found all of our suppliers for us – a florist who ‘got’ our vision for beachy driftwood & succulent “un-flowers,” caterers who ‘got’ our non-traditional meal request, oyster bar, gin bar, staff, band, DJ – even the local ice suppliers. She coordinated the perfect venue, the marquee, all the décor, crockery, cutlery, vintage glassware and furniture. She made all our signs and even hand wrote each guest’s name on a mussel shell for the place settings.

The truth is that any wedding-related item is a luxury item.
But it’s also true that

in making certain that you get the best value for money, but also that you get every centime’s worth of enjoyment out of those luxuries
Quite simply, planning a wedding is a massive amount of work, and keeping track of it all can be incredibly overwhelming and even exhausting. So having someone there to guide you who has seen it all before, (but still understands your unique desires and dreams, bien sûr) will give you a peace of mind that you won’t be able to put a price tag on.
And on that most important day, you won’t have to worry about a thing except being surrounded by the people who love you most in the world, and that most perfect face waiting for you at the end of the aisle.

She worked tirelessly all day long to keep the vibe nice and chilled but to make sure stuff happened when it needed to. You were great, Ajna, can’t recommend you highly enough!
